Dual, as far as I've understood. I'm still kind of new to the hardware but as far as I know it's better for video games. It's something about using the graphic card smarter.

It depends. A video card that has double the power of one of two video card working together in SLI/Crossfire will have a similar performance, and usually a slightly better price than buying two equal video cards. And as far as I know, SLI/Crossfire won't get you more than 50% performance boost. But it varies with cards, technology, games etc.
