Aw snap, our first critical attack, Mary Cow's Beardcomet Punch
Enjoy
STORYIgnoring the blood now flowing from his wounds, Alex Starfade threw himself upon another Burrower, unleashing his martial arts and wrestling for its rifle. Shots rang at as the pair rolled on the ground. Finally, Alex leapt backwards, the rifle triumphantly in his grasp. Though that was not all he had managed to wrest from the enemy’s grip – a bottle of medicine had also come loose and Alex Starfade wasted no time smearing the liquid on his wounds. A painful hiss later and the blood was stemmed.
“It’s go-time,” he spat, aiming the rifle and taking a shot at the now rifle-free Burrower. His shot rang loud, flying across the short space between them and burying itself deep within the foe’s shoulder. A hiss, angry this time, emanated from the Burrower as it recoiled.
One of the Burrowers that had been previously injured staggered. Zaliphone, not waiting for another sign, rocketed a kick towards it. A sickening crack was heard as his shin connected with the enemy’s neck. The sand was sprayed red as the near-severed head emptied out onto the sand.
Mary Cow now came in, the usual fists flaring up for an attack. The Burrower she was aiming for started digging into the ground to escape, but Moo’s fist, now wrapped in her lush beard, burst into light as it shattered through the enemy’s torso. Both of them fell onto the floor. Mary Cow’s fist stuck in the now lifeless corpse of the Apotheos Burrower.
With a shriek, half-enraged, half-terrified, the last burrower took a shot at Arjahn Mjakhim, who had been standing still. The projectile entered his abdomen, causing the tall man to grunt “sweet mother of tacos!”.
It seemed like the battle was almost over, though there was still no sign of Haseo Katana…
TL;DR
Two Burrowers are killed, but one remains. Arjahn Mjakhim is shot in the abdomen. Haseo Katana is still nowhere to be seen.
