RE: Youtubers
I usually like watching the lesser-known LP'ers. People like Azureblade49, Alemaxhaxs, and Icrangirl aren't very popular anymore. They still have fanbases, just not as large as they were a few years ago, so they're kind of not as well known.
As for popular LP'ers, I used to be a fan of Chuggaaconroy...until his LP's were just forced, annoying loudness. His Majora's Mask LP seemed like he had no idea where he was going until he was half-way done. His Super Paper Mario LP was so bad I stopped watching after that. I made up a drinking game for it: Anytime he says "people keep saying I hate this game and I don't know why", or "Super Paper Mario was originally going to be a Gamecube title", take a drink. Trust me, you won't last. I also like how he plays "black sheep" games. Because, you know, Super Mario Galaxy, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Super Mario RPG, the Pokemon games, and the Paper Mario games are total black sheeps. Obviously to be called a black sheep you have to have gained the title of "one of the best video games ever made". I also like how he says RPG is his favorite genre, while he's only really LP'd three; the Mother games all play the same, the Paper Mario games (except for the third's action-based gameplay) pretty much play the same (including Super Mario RPG), and what Pokemon game has he LP'd that DIDN'T play the same? If he wanted to do "black sheep" games or not played much games, he could try something like Final Fantasy 3, Mystic Quest, Breath of Fire games, Golden Sun, any freaking RPG that he hasn't done yet. This guy has NO variety in the games he plays at all! Which is too bad he runs TheRunawayGuys, because there apparently isn't enough times you can play Mario Party or New Super Mario Bros. or Super Smash Bros. The more I talk about this guy the more his popularity just ticks me off, so I'm just going to stop now.
