I don't care about how long a game is, and saying that a game has OVER 90 HOURS OF CONTENT ZOMIGAWD! as an advertising ploy is just dumb, nobody can make a game with fresh content every 10 minutes in a 60 hour game. This is why I'm annoyed that people knocked down the rating on games like Portal and Dishonored because they were "too short".

Yeah that's pretty dumb. Some people can take just a few days to beat a game, while others can take months on the same game. That's why I don't even pay attention when they say "XX much content!!"

I hate the 'hardcore' Final Fantasy fanbase. It's basically the same reason Cody said earlier about Zelda fans, they can't stand any criticism of any of the games. I had to literally argue with someone on why, in my opinion, FF10 had a weak story and boring characters. The guy kept interrupting me and saying how I'm just an asshole who doesn't like anything good, all because I didn't agree with him.

I also don't enjoy games like GTA. Sure, they're fun for a little bit, but after an hour of shooting the same three cop models, and running over the same 5 or 6 pedestrian models, it gets boring. Is the appeal really just because the game lets the player be a mass murdering fuckhead without any real consequences?

Finally, I think the ESRB should be disbanded, or whatever the equivalent is in your country. It shouldn't be up to some board of people to decide if a certain age group is mature enough for something. Kids are smarter than people give them credit for, and they want to be stimulated and challenged. Let the kid sit down and watch Saw or play MadWorld. So long as you explain to them the difference between a movie and reality, they'll be fine.

I was like that until I played Portal for the first time. It was fantastic, I felt like it should have been longer, but I had a gaming epiphany and I realized "A game can be short and awesome."
Random memory: I remember for some reason that Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed only took me about 5.5 hours to finish my first time through. It was a pretty damn good game, even with the silly gimmick. I probably played through that game 3 or 4 times.

I'll end this rant with this, I'd rather have a phenomenal experience for 6 hours than a mediocre one for 60.
