And Gamepad will most likely be around $150. Yeah.. that's CRAZY, but not surprising.

I wasn't surprised by the price of a second Gamepad either. With Nintendo not pushing out games that require more then one, and most games that you can use two on cut the framerate by half, I don't see a reason to buy a second Gamepad at all.

The only reason I see is if somehow the first one just stops working.

At that price, they better be bloody reliable!

I didn't even think about that, yes that would be the only reason I'd buy another one.

I trust Nintendo, I have no reason to think they won't be reliable.

GameStop is already taking pre-orders for the system. You even get an extra ten bucks in credit if you turn in a Wii towards the purchase of a Wii U.

RE: Wii-U
How does a site make that much of a typo?

You get $50 towards the pre-order of the Wii U when you trade in your Wii, not $10.

I think what that article meant to say was that you get an extra $10 towards it if you are a Power Up member.

And of course you didn't post it because that's basically what the article says too.

They may not have known you had to be a Pro Rewards member to get the extra ten bucks in credit.

Most Nintendo Wii U games to priced at $59.99, Pro Controller priced at $49.99.

Nintendo announces Wii U game price and pro controller price.

But that's BULLLLLSHID! So wait the trade-in value works like this:
"Trade in a CONSOLE and you'll have the equivalent to buy 1 GAME at $60".

Such a HUGE rip-off.

Meh, the Wii isn't worth that much money. Due to it's age and how many people bought em, the resale value dropped heavily, and not just from Gamestop, but pretty much everyone. If you're able to get more then sixty bucks for a used Wii, chances are you suckered someone.

You act like trade-in's are supposed to be fair in the first place.

RE: Wii-U
Trade in's are supposed to make profit for the buisness. If you can buy a wii for 149 dollars BRAND NEW and WITH A GAME then you would buy a pre-owned wii without a game for at the very most $100 (I wouldn't even do that) Ebgames has to make a profit somehow off of these old wii's. $50 is completely fair. Especially since 25% of them will have issues and will just be a loss for them.

RE: Wii-U
Well, I mean fair for the consumer, not the business.

Anywho, why are people complaining about the Wii U price? My friend said that the premium is $50 too much. Why?

Think of it this way. The Gamepad controller costs about $150 by itself. And think of it as the console is costing the other half. Now it doesn't seem so bad, now does it?

Damn, I didn't think they'd start so soon. I thought I would have some time to save up some money.

Anyone wanna estimate how long till they get backed up with pre-orders?
