RE: What you guys think about Wii U?
I'm definitely interested to see what comes of it. Definitely thinking about getting one as it does have a lot of potential, you could have shooters and such like resident evil and have your inventory/map/whatever on the controller instead of having to get the menu up on screen, theres plenty other things but I can't think atm. As for the whole the next xbox and playstation will be more powerful argument... of course they will be they are getting released after it, it's generally how these things work, just like the playstation was more powerful than the xbox, anyway I'm starting to ramble. I'm intrigued anyway.

I can see lots of ways to exploit WiiU's controller. Though, I think that they should have introduced more titles for hardcore gamers rather that AC3, zombieU etc.

I am looking forward to playing Pikmin 3 and I really hope they will come up with a new SSB soon.

I haven't so much as switched on my Wii in about two years. I'm reserving my judgement, but I suspect that the Wii U won't interest me too much. The controller looks a bit awkward to me. I'm a simple soul, I like playing with a basic control pad.

It does have a basic controller as well. Called the pro controller. Obviously for things like shooters and smashbros.

Looks interesting and is pretty nice when you look at it, but not sure. There's obviously going to be some good games on there, but dunno if i'll be playing it all the time.

So far from what I've seen they've got it right. Graphics, Games. GOOD 3RD PARTY SUPPORT. Its backwards compatible with the Wii aswell so thats a plus for me I think. I think i'll get it but I'll wait I dont play enough console games much anymore to warrant a Day 1 Purchase.

Is this Pro Controller coming with the Wii U or will it be sold separately? I hope it comes along with the console. It would show how much Nintendo cares about good ol' traditional gaming (judging by the first-party Wii U games, even to a point of safety zone, rather than exploring the potential of the Game Pad).

I hope it'll be good, but with Nintendo, they make themselves different brings in the customers, but hurts the games, I hope they get good games, but aren't labeled out because the devs don't want to spend more time programming for the touch screen.

However, if it allows Gamecube games to be played on the Tablet with multiplayer it would become the best console ever.

I'm kind of looking forward to it. I'm most interested in the feature where you can play on your TV screen then take it and play it portably where you left off. The touch screen is cool, too.

The only thing I don't want to see is that by the time this releases, will it still be current with the next generation of consoles that will also be announced/released? Nintendo had this problem with the Wii and Gamecube. They focus too much on the new features like motion control and slack in other areas.

tl;dr It will be interesting.

Most likely not unless alot of fans show they want it to. They seem to be bending to what the fans are complaining about. (2 gamepad support for example) [Nothing was announced for whats officially bundled with the console except 1 gamepad]

It doesn't support gamecube controllers. There is no slots available for it. They are attempting to replace it with this pro controller i assume. Which according to reviews feels much better then it looks. (it looks like you will have to stretch your right thumb far from the right stick to hit buttons but everyones saying you don't)
