Since last E3, we heard from Nintendo almost everything that is to know about their new console. Pricing, games, a vague launch date and so on.

So, you guys think it's gonna be a big success from start, like Wii, or will it be a huge mistake, full of problems and not-worth-it games, like... Wii. And 3DS.

IMO, it's still too soon to say. I'm really curious to know how it feels to play on a tablet joystick, and the third party games announced are promising. But will they make it to the launch? Will they play just as well as they do on current generation consoles?

Also, will Wii U's graphics power be able to rival with Microsoft's and Sony's next-gen consoles? Nintendo still hasn't talked details about Wii U's chipset.

Will you trust Nintendo and buy it on launch or will you wait too see opinions and news after its launch?
I won't buy it on launch because I'm speculative of the hardware itself and I want to see some good reviews before I fork up a few hundred bucks, and I also want to see some more first party titles. Star Fox would work great on the console.
I will buy it on launch simply based on the fact that it won't drop in price for at least a few years (mimicking the Wii) and it will host the new smashbros.
I'm just really looking foward to the new Super Smash Bros on WiiU.

Could probably find one on Craiqslist for cheaper than launch a little while after it launches.
I just found this story in Kotaku. It says Wii U will most likely face the same problem Wii had in comparison with the other consoles, regarding hardware power.

Quote:"After the next generation of machines comes out, Wii U will be a performance orphan," one industry insider who is familiar with the specs of the new Nintendo console, told Kotaku. "It will be closer in performance to the next iPad than the next-gen machines.
I probably won't get it, not right away. Nothing against Nintendo or the Wii U, I mean, I probably wouldn't get one of the a new console from Microsoft or Sony if they were coming out with one.

If anything can convince me to get one, it would be a new Super Smash, and Pikmin 3

Not interested in used consoles though. I buy games used, that's about it.
Fun Fact Nintendo seems to be the only major gaming company not trying to snuff out the used game business. And said they have no future plans to change gaming experience for pre-owned games. Unlike it's competitors so far it seems.
I don't understand not being interested in used consoles personally. If it's in good condition and from a smoke free home then I don't see a big deal. Especially older consoles. They can cost an arm and a leg new. I'm no one to say what to do with your money though.
I think some interesting things can be done with the wii u. Altho the releases of assasins creed and games like that are questionable.
I love everything I've seen about the WiiU! The controller makes the console so interested and there is so much they could do with it.

Here are some things I want to see done with WiiU
- Menu on the controller screen. Making some games more fast paced.
- Horror games with no HUD on screen.
- Pokemon Snap 2
- Mario Paint

There's probably a lot more that I've been thinking of but can't remember right now. The controller looks so sweet.

Let's admit it, Nintendo is always behind in terms of hardware BUT that doesn't mean the games aren't top-notch. Graphics don't matter much, Nintendo sees this and knows that what matters the MOST is how much fun people will have when they play the game :-bd
I was super excited when I saw the more traditional controller as well. I probably won't buy at launch, but with the inevitable Zelda titles at least I will probably pick one up eventually.
I probably won't bother. The Wii didn't much interest me, and although I love every Zelda game I've ever played, I don't think it's worth buying a whole console for them. Maybe someone I know will buy one and I'll borrow it.
I'm loving what I've seen so far. More games for older teens and adults, the cool new touch screen controller thingy, and third party games. I am a little sceptical, however, about how well the system will actually perform.

But that doesn't matter. I'm getting it at launch or soon after because of the awesome games that will be available. (SSB4, Pikmin3, AC3, Zombiiu, etc.)
