Apologise. Or cover it up and tell lies. Either way's good. What's the easiest way to get back to normal?

I think I'll apologize..not right away because I still feel kind of...awkward and emotional about finding it. I just hope she accepts my apology and not have it release like...hidden anger toward me.

It really sounds like the whole emotionally charged atmosphere was the problem rather than the game. I'd bet ten points that neither of you really give much of a shit about the game when you talk.

Last year I lost one of my best friends. We were in arguments for the entire summer until one day, I go to play my heartgold game...a game that I had pokemon stored in from all the way when I had my Ruby game from 10 years ago....and MY FILE WAS GONE. Instead, there was a file with her name on it.

Under this impression, I thought she might have switched cartridges either on accident or out of spite or something. So that night I called her up crying asking if she would look for it and we started fighting more and eventually it triggered our friendship ending. It was devastating for me. I lost my friend and hardwork.

Well...here I am a year later and as I am packing boxes from my closet...what do I find in the midst of my rubble? My heartgold game. I couldn't believe it..I thought it was gone for good. I thought she stole it and never found or gave it back. I lost a friendship that was triggered over a game.

We are now on speaking terms...but I'm scared to tell her or apologize? Should I? Or would it just seem horrible? I don't know. I don't know.

I'd say apologize. Do it either in person or on the phone so she can hear/see the sincerity and if possible return her cartridge. And with the previous argument, think about what triggered it and do your best to stay unbiased like thinking she started it. Think about the event that triggered it. If it was you who started it, apologize for that too at some point. If it was her that started it, just forgive her.
Chances are you'll befriends again, unless she's someone who holds a grudge...

And as an added bonus you can be the bigger person for apologizing for either one or both arguments! Big Grin

I thought that if you haven't talked to her in a long time would spark it all off. But-chyeah if you're speaking to her lately then it makes it easier to ease into what you want to say. Even if doesn't go as well as should do, at least you can be congratulate yourself on having enough courage to go into this. T'is not an easy task.
Hope it goes well. Lets us know, yo!

What was the end result from all this?

Also, I have a question. I am unskilled in everything. What job should I try to get?

Warehouse work. Mindless, easy to do with decent pay. Or crash test dummy.

RE: The life-in-general help me thread
Hey guys. A forum I have been a member of for about 4 years just died. And the part that actually makes me sad is that no one will miss me and I will miss no one. And now I can't stop thinking about how I may have been a douche all of the time and I never realised. I never thought about this before, but I think I completely lack skills for internet interaction.

How do you do with people in real life? Just try to talk to us the way you would with your real life friends, unless you are a douche to them as well and if that is the case then you just need to work on it, just try to be more supportive and more genuine with your answers and less sarcastic.
Sorry if this does not help you at all.

RE: The life-in-general help me thread
See, that's the weird thing. In real life I have no problems with people. I think the lack of voice tone and corporal language over the internet may turn my usual way of talking into something actually mean. I guess I'll have to try something because I really like the people here and I don't want to be a Douche here too.

And actually, that was helpful. Thanks, man.
