RE: Favorite Dragon Ball/Z/GT character
Meh Vegeta was never one of my favorites, never has been and probably never will because his ego is so darn big and he thinks he is entitled to everything that Goku gets because he is the prince of all Saiyans. He just acts like a spoiled brat at times, he is also weak willed but I just say that cause I am not a fan of his.

Nappa is my favorite, followed by Goku.

But, Mr. Popo is.......interesting.

That's why I like him. He doesn't do much.

I haven't seen a lot of Dragon Ball or any of its variants, but I do love me some Kid Goku.

Did anyone else get into Dragonball through the manga and not the anime?

At the same time. I watched the a few episodes when they aired them (2004 ish) on Toonami then shortly found the manga in Waterstones. Both are equally good.

The manga is a lot better, imo. Mostly due to the anime having the worst pacing ever.

Also yes he reminds me so much of Link from the Legend of Zelda franchise. He has pointy ears, wields a sword, plays an ocarina and shows so much courage with what he has to face.

I've always thought he was an intentional reference to Link. An awesome character indeed.

But I like Piccolo more, he's a badass. Also, limb regeneration. And that attack he used to kill Goku was just awesome (not sure about it's english name).

I thought it was quite good but meh I was young. Would probably spot it now. I just liked the idea of an simple adventure. Then Dragonaball Z is like
"You're a wizard, Harry Saiyan, Goku"

Dragon Ball is actually my favorite, it is simple and noone is too powerful and it just makes more sense. The whole premise is also innocent and adventurous.
Also Dragon Ball was the only time Krillin, Tien and Yamcha were considered powerful. Oh yeah and Oolong too.

Were Yamucha ever seen as strong? He barely won any fights at all, even less a fight that counts.

At least Kuririn fought and defeated Chiaotzu.

Imperfect Cell is/was my favorite character, hands down. I'm packing my things up for my coming move and I just found my little stash of printouts and DBZ cards of him that formerly decorated the cork board at my desk (2001-2003ish). I think when I move out I'll give the bug a second run. Tongue
