SNES
Yeah, I'm getting console specific here. I think the SNES is probably the console which gave me my fondest gaming memories. What are your favourite SNES games?

Off the top of my head:

Street Fighter 2 Turbo - it was a such a great improvement on Street Fighter 2 whilst being exactly the same game.

Cannon Fodder - everyone, EVERYONE should play Cannon Fodder.

Super Empire Strikes Back- MAN, was that game tough.

Urban Strike - my favourite of the series.

Donkey Kong Country - a perfect platformer, in my opinion.

The Chaos Engine - a pretty standard top-down shooter made great by having absolutely the best music of any game ever.

RE: SNES
I was a kid when I had a SNES so my games were quite limited to Donkey Kong Country 1 2 3, AHHH Real Monsters, Super mario World, That Super mario game that had 1, lost levels, 2 and 3 and I am probably forgetting one or two others.
By all means those games were all amazing in their own way (DKC series was the best and where I remember much of my childhood.)

RE: SNES
Street Fighter 2: Turbo: Hyper Fighting was the first version I had but I grew to appreciate Super Turbo. Pretty damn amazing which is still being played today!

Secret of Mana: Was a mix of Zelda and Final Fantasy.

Super Mario All-Stars: All the Mario greats in one cartridge.

Zelda: Link to the Past: A huge improvement over the original NES game in every way.

Final Fantasy 3(6): One of the biggest games I played at the time that kept me going for a long time. Last of the traditional Final Fantasy games really.

Earthworm Jim: My damn is this game fun for everyone.

Power Rangers: I remember this game being amazing. Playing as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, good times.

Super Mario World: The music! So good.

Aladdin: Oh my days is this game good. Amazing movie-tie in game.

Terranigma: Probably my favourite of Squares games for the SNES.

Super Ghouls'n Ghosts: Found this game incredibly hard but fun.

Super Metroid: I remember wanting to play this game because I loved the first one. But I got stuck and couldn't progress for months.

Final Fight: Streets of Rage was much much better but this was still pretty good.

Killer Instinct: Was fun to get away from Street Fighter 2

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja: I never understood this game but it was highly enjoyable to play.

Mortal Kombat 3: Blood and violence! Blood and violence! Blood and violence!

Earthworm Jim, oh dear lord yes. Always hated Killer Instinct, though. Mortal Kombat 3 ... TOASTY!

Oh, Another World!

RE: SNES
The only SNES I actually played a lot was in my grandmother's house (I used to have one, but was 3, and I sucked.)

But my favorite game that I played was a 2-game-in-1 thing, which included Tetris and Doctor Mario.

Yeah, she had other games like Final Fantasy III and Street Fighter 2, but for some reason, I loved playing Tetris vs. my grandpa. It surprised me that a guy old as him (ok, he seemed OLD to me when I was young!) was so good at a videogame! He would beat me in less then a minute!

The fact that I spent time playing a videogame with him for fun was a huge thing for me. He didn't like videogames, so getting to play 1 with me was like paradise.

Now? I usually beat him at Tetris and an other videogames... except Doctor Mario. Well, time to practice beating him >:D

RE: SNES
Breath of Fire II is my favorite SNES game. There are two main reasons that the SNES is my second-favorite system ever (Behind the DS): JRPGs and Mario. Seriously, what an incredible console.

RE: SNES
I never had a Snes, my brothers grew up on the Mega Drive, and then the Dreamcast, but I have played little Snes games.

Super Metroid
Super Mario World
Chrono Trigger
Super Mario All Stars
Yoshi's Island.

But regardless, I think the Snes was a cool console, and I wish I had one rather than roms/gba versions.

The only SNES game I played in my childhood was A link to the Past, and I loved it so much, and I got nearly all the hearts on it, I had all the items.

I won't let there be an SNES thread without Lost Vikings! The music in that game was godlike. Without doubt one of my favorite games for SNES.

RE: SNES
Well to move away from all the games that would obviously be on a list of favorite SNES games like Super Mario All stars and Super Mario World, my favorite list would have to go...
1. Tecmo Superbowl
2. Killer Instinct
3. Super Mario RPG
4. Yoshi's Island
5. Megaman X
6. Gradius III
7. Kirby Super Star
8. Aladdin

9 and 10 I have no idea I've never really had huge gaming libraries for any one console I've just had a lot of consoles.

And on a side note I still have my Super Nintendo and it still works but that thing has almost no shell on it anymore I can clearly see the motherboard. Why? Because as a child I fell and smashed my head on it making a huge hole in the shell and then later one of my friends didn't know a controller I had was broken and tried to push it in the controller slot harder thinking it wasn't in all the way using the hole as a hand hold and tore off more of the shell...about a forth of the shell is missing now.
