MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post some pictures of snow, please. It's a t-shirt Christmas here again this year.

What has everyone gotten? My mom had a quilt made with a bunch of my old t-shirts, my first younger brother got me a book to keep my concert tickets in and a book for travel stuff too, and my baby brother got me framed Led Zeppelin albums!!

RE: Christmas !
Update from Texas: Extreme rain early this morning, extreme winds since then, extreme drop in temperature the last few hours. Possible snow later. It's snowing in Dallas, but not here in Houston yet.

RE: Christmas !
So, what did everyone get for Christmas?

I got some new pajama pants. I love my super mario ones already, but these are nice and fluffy and since I usually go nowhere, I will be in them all day every day.

I also got an ugly green sweatshirt that I'll probably only wear when it's really cold in the house (I usually never wear sweatshirts unless I'm going outside for a walk or something... which rarely happens in winter).

I got a $50 gift card to walmart. I'm going to save this until my dad gets my present. Since he hasn't done anything yet, I asked him to get me a Nintendo 3DS. He said maybe in a couple of weeks (knowing him, it actually might be in a couple of weeks, or might be tomorrow, lol). I'm going to use that gift card to get a 3DS game. I want to get a 3DS used, because I want to have the chance to get the ambassador games. But looking online, it doesn't even look like Gamestop has them. Which is weird. I'll have to see in-store or just call them.

Then I got a $15 gift card to Taco Bell. And since I rarely ever eat there, I find it completely useless. I might exchange it with a friend for $15. Who knows.

But I'm not upset that I didn't get anything for Christmas. For me, Christmas isn't about the presents we get. It's about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. So with that, I take it as a time to spend time with family. And tonight, I did and that alone made me happy.

So overall, I had a great Christmas!

RE: Christmas !
It's all about the presents, food, and the kids for me haha. My aunt has 9 grandkids, so it's always a ton of fun. With a ton of food. And a ton of gifts Smile I got a lot of nice kitchen stuff for my apartment, a charm bracelet, a kaliedescope necklace, a Zombie Killer tshirt, coat/hat/scarf, and a badass quilt from my parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins. My brothers got me framed Led Zeppelin albums, a concert ticket book, and a travel stub book.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas, A Zombie Riot!! I hope everyone else did as well Smile

RE: Christmas !
Well I had a good christmas overall (even if my laptop is unusable until my new charger cable arrives).

It was just me, my housemate, and Bubbles the cat. Or rather, just me and Bubbles the cat because my roomate is one of those people who thinks it's cool to be anti-conformist and refuses to celebrate christmas.
I made my self a nice whole cooked chicken, marinated for 3 hours in water, chicken stock, white wine, various vegetables, and herbes de provences. Damn it was good (it also got the Bubble's seal of approval, who had a plate).
I must have spent over 2 hours skyping various family members, my gf, and friends to catch up and see what they got.

As for what I received - I got a bathrobe, some face lotion, a bauble, a small polar teddy bear, a christmas card, chocolate santas, a new shirt, a Kindle, some sprinkles (because I'm the only one in my class who loves sprinkles on deserts and it's become a running joke), some french festive chocolates, a chocolate orange, a "Become Canadian" spray, and a party game. A good harvest !
Then I spent the day watching a few films, fiddling with my charger to get it to work, going for a walk, then chilling out in the evening to watch a film whilst my hand got repeatedly attacked by Bubbles.

I've got lots of christmas food left so I'm sorted for a few days Smile
I think it'll also be interesting to see how I spend my day without use of my trusty laptop.

Happy Boxing Day to all !

RE: Christmas !
I had a wonderful Xmas
I got:
Dishonored for PS3
A steampunk wall clock
A hat for steam punk cosplaying (I am starting to sense a theme here)
A reindeer dispenser that craps out jelly beans
A small vase made entirely out of stone (looks beautiful and is very unique)
Some sweatpants
A small helicopter that I control via my iPhone
some Angry Birds candy (this was a gag gift I believe)
a year subscription to Psychology Today (I am a psych major and the articles are pretty awesome)
A car freshener
A blanket that I can plug up to keep warm
A Roku SX
And a trunk storage thingy that you can fold away and what not

RE: Christmas !
I don't like the presents(consumerism) nor care for religion, so I didn't get anything... But that didn't stop my Mother getting me a £20 HMV voucher. Mama why!?

I bought X-com with it today though. Spending 30 minute thinking:
Well £5 for Duke Nukem and get The Darkness 2 for £15
Or buy L.A.Noirce complete edition for £17
Or get Green Day Dos and Rise of the Fenix
But no, X-com is good. To indecisive buying stuff with vouchers

RE: Christmas !
I had a great Christmas.
I got Ass Creed 3, Farcry 3, God of War Collection, Journey Collection, Dishonored, Uncharted 3, another issue of the Walking Dead, Rise of the Governor, and a metric shit ton of chocolate.

Have a great day everyone, if I'm inactive blame it on Far Cry 3.

RE: Christmas !
Christmas was pretty great. Haha, just a bunch of family meeting up and just hanging out. Did get some good stuff out of it like the Walking Dead PS3 Collector Edition, new keyboard/mouse, and some etc. All in all, good stuff.
