I haven't seen the show, but to be honest I think the appeal is that it's just a quality show. The animation is fluid and it has a good writer (I've seen stuff she has written before). What also makes it even more fun to watch is probably the very dedicated fanbase. I know from experience that liking something that has a great fanbase sometimes makes it more fun to be a fan, than actually reading/watching/playing the thing itself. From watching the MLP fanbase afar that seems to be the case. I've even read posts from people who just hangs with the fanbase and barely watches the cartoon.

I watched one episode once, it wasn't bad and I though nothing of it. When I discovered those crazy hardcore bronies, it really just killed the whole thing for me, not that there was much to kill anyway. Now I just can't stand MLP or bronies. The fanbase is definitely in my top 5 worst fanbases.

I watch it. I'm not too invested in the fandom, but I think the show is funny, well-animated, and very adorable. Studio B and Hasbro has gone to great lengths for the kids and adults that like the show and I admire them for keeping in touch with their fanbase. Of course, I don't really get into the fandom that much, I'm just a big cartoon buff.

No, my friend have literaly forced me to watch a few episode of it and heck man you can guess the plot of it 1/4 through the episode. also it lacks bad people to mix it up. while 4/3 of the fans just stay quiet and deal with the fact that some people just dont like the show, the 4/1 of them, well. they're a pain in the place (luckily theres none of the 4/1 here o.o). i guess im just too un-friendly to like it :/

100% everything agree. I made an account just to post here...I do not care if they watch it.. I do not care if it is discussed... i do not... but ... when people post about it publicly.. it's annoying...

The way i see it.. If you post about it.. Be damn sure and ready to get insulted because if you have the right to go into the public forums of the internet and make public posts to either convince people or sway them to watch it we have the right to insult you about it

coming from someone who watched the entire first season i can gladly say that it's EXACTLY what all the internet people describe it as... There's really nothing special it.. No references.. Nothing... I've watched it.. It's just.. a cartoon.. made for kids... that's all...
