Exactly. It's why video game awards(or award ceremonies in general) are pathetic and pointless because it's just a dick measuring contest. The most popular win, not what's actually good. What game is the best of the last year?

I'm not a "CoD instantly sucks" person but CoD Black OPs added nothing new compared to the sheer brilliance of games like Bastion, OoT 3D, Alice: Madness Returns...meh

There is a whole slew of videos like that on YouTube, all with similar names. Most of them are videos of those crappy Farm/Street Sweep/Train sims though.

Those lists are pure sensationalism. They have no reason but to cause controversy. Read the lists, be happy for the few ones you feel are in a rightfully awarded rank, ignore all the rest. There is no point in comparing Team Fortress 2 with a Legend of Zelda and an Assassin's Creed. We aren't robots with one only thought, neither have experiences and knowledge absorbed the same way in the course of our lives. Those things influence how we think about everything, so there's no way a list like that will ever have a general acceptation. The guys who make these lists know that, they just want attention.
