I'm fluent in English and Spanish and I speak a little bit of French and Portuguese. I'd like to master French and German eventually.

I'm wanting to learn French. Mainly because I plan on moving to Canada or France someday. I'm not so sure though, America isn't half bad.

Yea, I'd appreciate a bit of help getting started learning the language. I was going to take it in school, but all my school offers is Spanish.

If you know of any websites or software I can use to help start me out, then I'd like a reply. Thanks.

I speak both Spanish, and English fluently, and know some German from back when I lived there in Germany. And knowing Spanish makes it really easy to understand a lot from the latin-derived languages, so that comes in helpful.

I've never learnt a language through software or websites so I can't be of use regarding that.
Ask your language teachers at school - they'll probably know more about where you can find good resources.

RE: Which languages do you speak/want to learn?
I speak Dutch (native language) and I'm doing a five year course of speaking almost native English (Cambridge/Oxford University). At school I'm learning French, German, Cambridge English, Dutch, Latin and Ancient Greek. Next year I'll have my first Cambridge exam Big Grin

I also want to learn Japanese and maybe Spanish.

You're going to have to explain what I put in bold - How does one speak English Cambridge/Oxford University ?

(Also, that's a great array of languages Wink )

It does bassicly mean an international certificate for the English language. It's also British English rather than American. Oh, and you also learn an accent.

They teach you British English and teach you the accent ? That's pretty darn cool
You can then sneak around the world pretending to be English Tongue

RE: Which languages do you speak/want to learn?
I know English and that's about it (unless you count Scots, which you shouldn't.)

I can understand French but I'm f*cked if someone tried to converse with me in it, doesn't help that no-one in France seemed to want to even attempt to speak to me in French, I must reek of foreigner. I know VERY basic Japanese (about 20 Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana.) And some rather obscure phrases in multiple languages.

I would probably want to finish learning French, then Japanese, then Chinese (Mandarin), then Swedish, then Spanish, then Kore- You see where I'm going here. I would like to learn a lot of languages and I'd hope one day to take a year or two off to go to Japan and teach English as a Foreign Language to master Japanese and teach students to speak with the most incomprehensible accent in the English-speaking world.

Then again, I also told myself I would learn to draw, and play violin, and make sushi, and make video games, and compose for video games, and make YouTube videos but I think I'll probably die before I've done all the things I've planned to do with my life.

TL;DR I speak English.
