Local "eccentrics"
When I was younger there was a guy round where I lived who was "Jesus". He always dressed in grubby white and once tried to pay for a bus ride with a can of Coke and a blessing.

Not seen him for years, but there was "naughty boy". A normal looking guy who'd walk around the high street and at a random point start tunelessly singing "I'M A NAUGHTY BOY". It was usually best when he started in a quiet shop.

Now there's a wizard. He wears robes, carries a staff and he used to have a dog that he'd walk and a cat that sat on his shoulders but I think they must be dead now.

Well, in California (more precisely in Redondo Beach), where my dad lives, there's this guy called "Jesus"-WAIT, hold on, I'm not joking!

There,s a guy who has a hippie-minivan with a bunch of... hippie stuff on it, and on the back window, it's written "Jesus" with duct-tape. He also wears a white robe. SO now, we call him "Jesus". We also call the van the "Jesus Van".

Sorry if I got no proof, I'm still in Canada, and California is a long way from here >_>

RE: Local "eccentrics"
In my old town I lived in we had this famous street musician that always played a loop on his keyboard. When walking up to him he always loved talking even though he always sounded really grumpy. There was a lot of rumors going around about him being really rich and playing music on the street was just something he did to make people happy.

After many years Sweden had this show where to guys looked up Sweden's weirdest people, interviewed them and made a toplist of who they liked the most. My old towns street musician won and he became a a bit more famous. Nothing changed for him though.

He passed away earlier this year and made it on the front page of a local newspaper.

There's a supposed millionaire that rides around on bikes and lives on the streets because he doesn't need money to be happy, that he doesn't need to have material gain to live his life. We call him Bicycle Bob.

There's this guy in a kilt who sits on a bench all day and talks about going back to the UK.
He's been saying this for the past 35 years (I've been told)
