RE: Sparkly shiny Pokemon
Unsurprisingly, my first shiny was a zubat. Mainly because to get from cave-point A to cave-point B, you run into an average of 7,000 of them.

RE: Sparkly shiny Pokemon
The last one that I got in the wild was a shiny female dratini. I was fishing around Dragonspiral Tower looking for a female dratini and the shiny one popped up. I was so happy to find it since I had spent awhile trying to fish out a female dratini C:

RE: Sparkly shiny Pokemon
My first shiny besides Gyarados was a Caterpie in Platinum or HeartGold, can't quite remember now which game it was. I was catching a lot of Nincada trying to find a specific nature, and I ran into it. I don't know if I want to evolve it or not. It looks pretty cool.

No lie. I modded all my shinys with an Action Replay device. Then imported them into Pearl.

Never had a shiny and while they look a little different they do not mean a darn thing to me. They have the same stats and everything.

Exactly, they're just for novelty purposes. It's only good if you find a Pokemon that's a shiny that you want, with good IVs, nature and EV and outcome

I remember being the coolest kid in the school because I'd gone to one of those Mew events - Everyone wanted a piece of this Cool

I can't help but think that they just wanted my Mew...

That is why I am not liking Pokemon that much, I never understood why they needed natures and what not, that just seems to be picky when getting Pokemon was really all that mattered and if you are getting a shiny and you don't get the right whatever then you messed up and the game is just being a prick.

It's more of an added bonus if you find a Pokemon with the right nature, but that's only if you intend on using them.

RE: Sparkly shiny Pokemon
My first (and only) shiny was a trapinch (evolves into flygon). I "fainted" it not even realizing it was shiny. Next time i found a trapinch I thought "Why is it a different color...?" Then it hit me.
