I wouldn't say DQ is a cult series, considering Nintendo Power gave away the first game in the states for free to subscribers. Everyone knows Dragon Quest, or Dragon Warrior anyway.

I'd say yes to PSO, since the Dreamcast wasn't a big hit and and the series never really achieved a massive following.
