I'm almost 100% sure he is coming back. But he needed a break. Like we all do at times.

I hope so. He and I got along so well (probably because of our age). Not saying you guys don't kick ass Wink

Beardy was cool. Too bad he had to leave. Let's just hope he'll be coming back soon.

There was nothing in Al Capone's vault.

But it wasn't Geraldo's fault.

Hey, I like tacos as well, what was within your taco? I would like to learn about it.

I also enjoy tacos, especially those new Doritos tacos.

(and yes I just added onto a conversation about tacos now I will go spend moneys on steam)

RE: The Free Thread
Hey! Hey! I'm going to tell you guys stuff that's happened to me at work over the years because I can!

The scariest thing that ever happened to me when I was a newbie. See, I'm a Dietary Aide. I hate the job, went to college to change that, but unfortunately even the pay and benefits a hospital grunt gets are higher that I've found elsewhere. Bleh. There's a lot to do in even the four hour shifts so I'd end up alone at night pretty frequently before I improved. I was washing a meal cart out in a back room when suddenly it felt like a cold hand slapped me across the face. It freaked the heck out of me so I left the cart with a half assed cleaning job and hurried out of there. Thankfully nothing I couldn't see ever touched me again.

There's an elevator that just goes up from the basement where I'm at to the first floor. I frequently use it to leave at night and one time when the doors opened I saw a long trail of blood going down the hallway. I never found out what caused it.

That said elevator is old and almost killed me once when the sensor malfunctioned. See, those doors close extremely fast and they nearly caught me. The door bashed into my arm, leaving a bruise the size of Rhode Island, but I managed to get inside before it fully close. I'm only five feet tall and weigh 100 pounds, so that door would've over powered me if I hadn't gotten inside.

Hey, wanna guess where the locker rooms for us and the housekeepers are? Right next to the morgue. The town I live in is tiny and so the morgue isn't really meant to hold more than one body at a time. So what happens when there's a big accident and six people are killed? They're in the hallway! I almost just decided to forget about my jacket one day rather than walk by them but it was cold and rainy, so I needed it.

One time when a body came in an employee figured out who it was when shortly after it was wheeled down and placed in the morgue she got a text message. It was her neighbor who had committed suicide.

Another time I was in the parking lot when I noticed what I can only refer to as "Bloody squish". The poor dude cleaning it up said he was told someone had gotten a nosebleed. Hahaha, No. Even if his nose had fallen off it wouldn't amount to what was on the ground.

In the ER there's a poster of a fisherman that gets put up every year and fish hooks are put in him to show where people who have come in have needed them removed. In one case, it was someone's eye. Another person had cast their rod and hooked them. That must have been horrible.

When the hospital underwent some construction you had to enter and leave through the ER doors. One day as I was leaving two young guys were at the desk, one holding his hand in a bloody cloth. Of course I couldn't linger, but I did manage to hear that he worked at a nearby grocery store in the Delly. Most likely a knife mishap.

Some patients also make the most horrible noises. Even worse than what you'll hear in horror video games. It's even creepier when they're talking since some are confused or senile. Many call for help, say that they're dying, or shout about their pain.

I was bringing the breakfast trays up once when I noticed a small black thing. As I got closer I realized a black bird had somehow gotten onto the bottom floor. I was going to as my supervisor who I should call about it, but the bird had already been seen. I heard that it actually started attacking when it was cornered.

Finally, most recently, the fire alarm went off in the Pediatrics section which caused a huge panic. Turns out some idiot nurse decided she wanted to make some Easy Mac without water. This didn't end well. The microwave started on fire. There was seriously a burnt stench in there for almost a week.
