I think Mass Effect 2 is the one that had your whole crew nearly die or something like that right? I'm not too fond of Bioware games to be honest. Either way I played that one and that was kinda sad.

It depends on your choices. I chose to finish recruiting my team and fully upgrade the Normandy, so my crew was abducted by the Reapers and I couldn't save them all in the end, but none of the main characters died. It's interesting that, regardless of your choice, you will always lose something. You have to choose what's more important to you. Of course, a crew of nobodies doesn't really matter for most players, I guess.

Unfortunately, because of a problem on my HD, I lost my save from ME1 (and half of what was on it) and had to replay through ME2 with "standard choices", in which Urdnot Wrex dies in the first game. That, along other things, really pissed me off. Now I'm thinking about replaying the two first games (although it would mean spending more 40 hours on them) before I get Mass Effect 3. I want a perfect ending with my choices. And my choices don't include Wrex dead. He was so awesome!

It was sad, but I didn't cry with regards to how the death happened, nor my emotional attachment to the character. No. I shed a tear for the amount of time spent levelling her up, sliced in twain by some Mummy's boy.

I genuinely cried with laughter when I first encountered 'The Great Mighty Poo' in Conker's Bad Fur Day. I was 12 at the time CBFD came out and seeing a big shite, coming out of more shite, singing and all, was best thing ever.

Metal Gear Solid 3 and Peace Walker (before the real ending). Man tears. I think it was also due to the lack of sleep.

I cried in the beginning of Megaman Battle Network 6, when Lan has to leave ACDC. Followed by disgust from the ending.

RE: Have you ever cried in a game?
I have got very emotional at games like Mass Effect, because they're very intense. When my Mordin died, I was pretty much hopeless for the rest of the day, and I just had to save and turn off my XBOX.
I have also been so close to crying at Black Ops, where I was having an important clan match, with a rival clan whom had been harassing us for one for ages. Well anyways I got a lovely killfeed and I was really chuffed.

RE: Have you ever cried in a game?
This'll probably be an unpopular opinion, but hey... I don't think that emotive writing is important enough to the industry for a game to have really touched me emotionally yet. I've been attached to characters, yes, but that's been going on since I've been trying to keep Jools and Jops alive. In terms of storyline, I can't think of anything properly touching yet. And I've wept like a little girl at movies and books.

Shoutouts to Cannon Fodder.
Interesting thought. Have you played Heavy Rain?
