Discuss.

I'll drop in my two cents after I stop smashing my head to the wall.

It looks like the devs decided to do their coding by slapping their wangs on the keyboard.

RE: New YouTube layout.
I've never moaned about the YouTube changes since '06, but this... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF it's terrible. The fugg where they thinking?
The YouTube Homepage has large amounts of white space. Randomly placed videos and YouTube information relating to subscriptions. The videos have the title under the video. The comment section looks like a frikkin' mess. It also doesn't work on the Wii either. >: (

I'll just copy what I just posted on REF because... urgh.

Mass Distraction Wrote:First of all, I cannot make the front page show only the newest videos from my subscriptions like it previously did. I have to wade through three pages before actually getting what I want.

Second, they deleted the "Browse Videos" button in favor of "What you SHOULD watch". So get this, a video sharing website suddenly doesn't allow you to browse videos. I can only see the ones Google wants me to see.

The front page is suggesting me videos I have seen already based on the fact that I have seen them already. What the shit. Then they recommend me channels I have already subscribed to.

They deleted the "New Messages" thing. Now I have to go and check my mailbox every single time I think I might have gotten comments or messages.

Lastly, what's the point of the "[Your Username Here]" button? I can see what I have done in the past few days? Oh really, I'm just that damn OCD that I need to check what I have done. Because I apparently can't remember stuff like that.

Oh lawd that new subscriptions column...
I just want to see what the people I subscribe to have uploaded! I couldn't give more of a toss about what they have watched or liked...
Didn't know about the comment/message thing. I was wondering why everything had gone silent

I'm just gonna repost a screencap because it's slightly more relevant in this forum.

You'll notice that half the screen is completely blank.

They were so pumped about releasing these new "features" so that they forgot there was still half of the site left to fill.

Honestly, it's like they live from the hatemail they get. Every single time they completely screw the users they get so much hatemail they don't know what to do with it. Ten they proceed to not give a crap and propably just forward those mails to the trash. Then they do it again. Endless cycle.

I don't get how you can be the biggest site on the internet but still can't find a decent webdesigner.

RE: New YouTube layout.
I don't really care much about what changed, except when I am watching a video and want to check out what else user X has done, but NOOOOOOO.... let's get rid of that button! OMFG!! I just want to quickly glance at some other videos from user X without opening a new tab, opening another window, or navigate away from what I'm currently watching.

RE: New YouTube layout.
I don't mind it as much as the last one, but I hate how I have to go through a process just to get to my sub box, instead of it being right there at the start.

I use YouTube on the 360 so... yeah.

I hate my speakers and I don't really feel like getting new ones.

RE: New YouTube layout.
I hate it compared to the old layout but I've found out how to work it already (because YouTube & Netflix is my TV) so I'm not as frustrated anymore I just don't like that they send you to a shitty page with all your recommended videos (you know those thing you only click occasionally out of curiosity) mixed in with all your subscription's videos so you then have to go to the left of the screen and click "My subscriptions" just to see only your subscription's activity, it became such a hassle to me, because of my seeing it pointless not to just send me straight there right away, that I made my YouTube favorite button send me to the subscriptions page instead of the main page.

RE: New YouTube layout.
"Another great Youtube layout. Well done guys"

Said by nobody ever.

I still think the best one was in 2007, including channels. I mean this new layout is just retarded. I don't think anyone likes this. Also I've stopped caring for Youtube ever since they got rid of Bulletin boards, and Streams.

Just look at the difference between 2007 and 2012. If you check this to this...

You can see how the 2007 layout is better, it shows you everything you want to see, and even more, such as videos being watched and featured videos.

The 2012 site, is just a cluster fuck of videos and nothing more.
