RE: Video game confessions
I've never played a single Legend of Zelda game aside from the five minutes I had with the original on an emulator. Instead of actually starting to play it myself, I decided to watch it as a Let's Play.

I really liked Duke Nukem Forever and can't understand the hate for it. Not really a confession, though. I tell this to people all the time. Felt like sharing.

You need some Zelda in your life my friend. It will be the greatest choice you ever make.

Eh... I'm not really into those kinds of games anyway. I don't even have any Nintendo consoles aside from handhelds and I mostly play RPGs on those.

I also have a thing that if I want to start playing a new game series I just have to start from the first game and climb my way up

The Legend of Zelda games really do not have a chronological order (maybe OoT and MM and I think maybe one other game might try that but I forget)

I don't necessarily mean I have to play the games in chronological order, though it does help. I just have to play them from the first to last.

There's already one game series I'm breaking this little rule of mine with and that's Final Fantasy. You bet I ain't going to go back and play every single game in that series through.

And that's my favorite game ever in the whole world. Was it really your first time to play?? What did you think?!

Going in order might be a bit of a hassle with these haha. There's of course the order they were released. But then there's three different storyline timelines. I actually posted a video about it earlier today in it's own thread.

Yeah, I usually go with the time of release when the games don't have a set timeline. I saw the video too and I've seen both AVGN's Legend of Zelda timeline and another one that I can't remember right now.

In any case, LoZ has just too many games on platforms that I don't own to even bother starting. I'm not really interested in the gameplay either, though the lore is interesting. That's why I've watched two full LPs, propably gonna go for a third at some point.

Nope. I never had an N64 so haven't actually played OoT or MM. Thought it was high time I caught up !

So far, some douche is stopping me from leaving my village because I didn't have a sword, even if the "vénérable arbre mojo" has called upon me. Somehow this guy side-shuffles quicker than I can run so I had to faff around looking for a sword and shield.

After being chased by a boulder that seemingly doesn't obey physics and keeps rolling across a flat surface ad vitam aeternam, I finally found the sword and bought a shield because apparently being called upon by a goddam magic tree to save the world shouldn't get in the way of capitalism.

And... that's about as far as I've reached Smile

Don't feel bad if you're not getting the hang of it and people start shouting at you or anything...

Yeah Mido is kind of a jerk. But he's harmless. Keep me updated on your gameplay and what you think!!

Zora's domain is a pain in the ass to navigate the first few times.

RE: Video game confessions
I think SERIOUSLY THOUGH should make a OoT playthrough topic. I absolutely love that game!

I plan on getting a 3DS this christmas. And at some point, I will get OoT3DS.

My confession:
I have never owned a Nintendo Handheld, ever. Yet I have owned all of Nintendo's home consoles so far (not the Wii U, yet). When the 3DS was announced, I was thinking "Hey, this could be cool." But then they announced some games for it that I just HAVE to have. Like OoT3DS, MK7, Super Mario 3D land, Luigis Mansion: Dark Moon, Kid Icarus, etc. And plus, I can get some DS games too.

RE: Video game confessions
I love adventure games, but there always comes a point where I have to bust out a walkthrough. The I closest I could beat a game without a walkthrough was the first Phoenix Wright game. Sad

I don't really like playing online and prefer to just play either single player or split-screen.
