Video game confessions - Xannidel - 11-27-2012 11:02 PM

I actually did not really know what to really call this thread but let's just say it's a kind of confession.

For me I am playing Wizard 101 because I am just wanting something simple and this is as simple as you can get.

I have a problem with buying games. Whenever I see a good deal I just can't pass it if the game is even moderately interesting looking.

I also love retro games. Not sure what counts as retro in this day and age but... ALL OF IT!!!

RE: Video game confessions - BumblebeeCody - 11-28-2012 03:19 AM

I buy games that are cheap even if they aren't that good

I secretly enjoy playing MvC3 even though I don't like the game itself

My PC can't run Minecraft on the highest settings.

Some people say I'm a videogame hipster. I think it might be true.

...help me...

I Use Save Slates in Mega man.

I usually get into a lot of games from it becoming extremely popular, or from another game, and the sad thing is I despise people who get into a popular game I knew from the beginning because it became popular

I got into Portal after I downloaded the demo and then it became extremely popular after Portal 2 became Valve's big projects, and I hated the fans who joined after Portal 2.

As for me I got into Half Life from the Orange Box, and this in 2010, even though the games been out for since 04'.

I also hate people who move spam in SSF4 online, even though when I think about it, all I do is continuous button spam which I variate.

Only completed 3 Gamecube game, out of the 20 I own.

I got stuck on that part in Portal

You know, the part where some people thought you had to stack chairs?

I play, enjoy and am good at Halo, I play it a lot.

I got into Fallout from 3, and I think 3 is a great game with an amazing atmosphere, (I've played 1 and am going through 2 though)

I think the Source engine is one of the most realistic engines in some light.

I've also only completed 6 Wii games out of the 20 I own.

This isn't really a confession but I do cry a lot at video games just because I get REALLY in to them. It's got to the point now where I'll wander through in to the kitchen all bleary eyed and sniffling and me mam will just ask "What happened?" Or "Who died?"

I also secretly want to get Black Ops 2 just because there's a SLIGHT chance that I could play with some Rugger men. Not only do I want to know exactly how good they are but I really would be on most of them like a rash...

I'm not sure what would constitute a "confession", so I'll leave you guys with this.
At one point I was almost addicted to pirating DS games. That was what made me create my rules of personal rules of pirating.

The only console I've owned since the Nintendo 64 is the Wii.

I hate unboxing videos yet I have made one myself. In which I rant about people who do unboxing videos. How ironic.

I have loads of RPGs and I love playing them, yet I have never finished one because of various reasons. No, not even Pokémon.

I collect fighting games and say I'm a fan but I'm only playing them casually. I don't even have an arcade stick, though I should get one.

I love pony games D:

I stacked the chairs too and still finished Big Grin Took a while though.

The only time I've cried during a game was at the end of MGS3, and my eyes always tear up when I hear the song "the best is yet to come".

I hate supporting Capcom, yet they're the company I've given the most money to.

RE: Video game confessions - Ouberry_13 - 11-29-2012 10:54 AM

Despite how much love I have for it, I have never beat a single game in the MegaTen series, not even the Persona games.

I actually sold my copies of Katamari Forever, Dark Souls, Disgaea 4, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, Fallout: New Vegas, the DMC Collection, and Shadows of the Damned. I sold them all because I needed some money, and I regret letting them go.

I kinda like the Kingdom Hearts games.

I don't really care for the Resident Evil series or even the Silent Hill series.

I did the exact same!

Yeah same. I thought that plot twist was awesome! I do enjoy the single player for the CoD games.

I know right. But that was before they became a-holes in 2010 and onwards.

I have more
Never even touched the Elder Scrolls games.

I still haven't beaten Witcher 2 O___O

My Pokemon Ruby is hacked to death. (Level 14 Deoxys on route 14...yeah right).

Haven't played Zelda: Spirit Tracks

RE: Video game confessions - Pogue-Mahone - 11-30-2012 10:05 AM

It's because of Halo 1 I didn't like FPS games, up until Modern Warfare 2 came out. When Halo came out, I was used to characters quickly reloading their guns; gun runs out of bullets, gun goes below screen, gun arrives back on screen, full clip. It angered me so much to see Master Chief run out of shotgun shells, and take what seemed like FOREVER to reload the gun! Right at one bullet left to go, I died. "I HATE THIS GAME!!!" I was about 14 at the time.

RE: Video game confessions - Ouberry_13 - 11-30-2012 02:15 PM

I suppose a good confession of mine is...*preparing myself for minor backlash*

I cannot stand Earthbound. I know people love it and praise it as this amazing RPG, but I could never get into it. I tried to, because I wanted to like it. I've heard all this amazing love for it, and wanted to feel the same. But, no matter how much I try, I just can't feel anything other than this dull emptiness that reminds me I could be playing something else

EDIT: I guess my phrasing of "cannot stand" doesn't fit my feelings correctly. It's more that I have no real emotion for the game

RE: Video game confessions - teribithia - 11-30-2012 05:28 PM

I just like that video game, you do not need to guess the Riddle do not need spend many time in find the right way to fight with BOSS. Just take you weapon to kill the enemy, So I like SeriousSam and Duke Nukem Forever .
