RE: Fighting Games
Eh, Ps All Stars doesn't feel incredibly balanced to me yet. Maybe when I play some more I'll think otherwise but for now that's how I feel about it. I don't think Smash Bros is better because it's more balanced though. I think it's better because it's more fun to play. I just have more fun with it than I have with PS All Stars. I guess time will decide on which game remains as most liked and played but I'd go with Smash Bros if I had to pick one.

Also, damn that Pokemon fighter looks awesome Smile

RE: Fighting Games
Yeah it's hard and easy to compare the two. If you want a mess around game, that CAN be taken seriously then Smash Bros is a good choice. Plus, Link stabbing Pikachu...what's not to like. But again, Smash Bros will continue to be laughed at with the crap mentality that Sakurai has on not wanting it to be competitive. However, Super Bot WANT a game like Smash Bros but with in-depth mechanics. So you do have a choice.
Fun and simple but can be taken seriously = Smash Bros
Indepth and tournament worthy but can be played simple = Sony All-stars

That's something to remember though, Sony All-stars isn't noob friendly and is specifically made for those tournament players. No idea about any future updates but that link in my previous posts shows that they are balancing the game in the same serious matter that SF4 has.

@Arjahn
I played that Pokemon game and it's pretty damn well made. But, I couldn't configure my fightstick on it. For some odd reason you can change buttons but you can configure the joystick (Up/down/left or right) so I gave up after a few minutes. Not playing on a PS3 controller D:

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Well my Gamertag/PSNID is my name so, let me know Big Grin

Nice Oni signature.
"Show me the extent ...or you power". I dabbled in Oni for a short time, myself. Fun character. Not used often though.

I only have SF4 on the PS3 by the way though I do have the update to see AE. I might buy AE for PS3.

Well I sent you a F/R, so whenever. Yeah, Oni is really fun, hoping to get a lot out of him. His match ups aren't that great, but none of them are really horrible, so I think I should be good. And no worries about SF4, I wanted to learn Guile, Ken and Sagat anyways. Tongue

Keep in mind I'm a complete beginner to not being a masher in fighters, so I'm expecting to take a good beating while just trying to apply what I've learned so far. Wink

RE: Fighting Games
@Fawkesdye
Practice
1)j.Hp/HK > cr.LP > cr.LP > (cr.MP xx QCP)
(Jumping Heavy Punch/Kick) > Crouching Light Punch > Crouching Light Punch > Crouching Medium Punch (cancel) into Hadouken. I put 'cr.MP xx QCP' in brackets so can practice that final bit first.

2) j.Hp/HK > cr.LP > cr.LP > (cr.MP xx Tatsu)

Slightly more advanced
3) j.Hp/HK > cr.LP > cr.LP > cr.MP xx L/M/H/EX.SRK [FADC] Ultra 1

Also basic anti-airs (and by basic I mean, any of these are decent and should also be used if going an A'A)
LP, HP, Cr.HP, LK, HK, L/M/H/EX.SRK

Heavy Tatsu' through fireballs

If you're interested in some of the best top level play.
SoCal Regionals is on. Seriously awesome

Edit: Oh and I almost forgot, don't ever fugg with Sakuras crouching Heavy Punch.

You're mostly likely gonna lose if you challenge it (which is why I used it when you jumped).

The other day I picked up a used copy of Soul Caliber 2 for the Gamecube, meaning you get to fight people as Link. If only Nintendo would wise up and make a fighting game with some franchised characters...

RE: Fighting Games
I love PS All-stars Battle royale, and SSBB, but i don't really think those should be compared to much, the mechanic's are different and all, but the idea is pretty much the same Mascots fighting each other but still i think SSBB and ALL Stars is two different beasts , I will write a review of the game here later on. Wink

Also people is mad it's third-party characters in it. Such as Big Daddy, which i really don't understand, I mean SSBB had Sonic and Snake and I heard little about that..

Good game but I never really learned it. What version of BB are you playing?

They're not traditional fighters but Sony All-stars is MUCH closer to a traditional fighter than SSBB. They put a lot of effort into make that game skill based with a strong level of depth that can be found in games like SF and KoF.
