BIT.TRIP FLUX
In the game BIT.TRIP FLUX (The last game in the BIT.TRIP Series), the final boss is an empty room where you must bounce a ball 15 times in a row without dropping it.

This is a reference to the Atari 2600 game Breakout where, after clearing two screens of bricks, you are left with an empty room to bounce your remaining balls around until you lose them. With BIT.TRIP FLUX representing CommanderVideo's death, it signifies that he has reached the very end of his life and there is nothing left to do.
