You haven't played SS! *Gasp*. Well I guess if you know the story then that's really all that's important. It's a key story point in the Zelda timeline.
The only copy I have is the gold one with the gold controller! I don't want to open it!

Collecting it? Nice. Smart, too.

But you should really play Skyward Sword though.

Ah ha. I bought the gold edition but a separate copy of the game and have it sealed. The gold edition doesn't have the Nintendo seal on anywhere but the game itself. Everything else is wrapped in a thin foam type case such as: the golden Wii remote.

The American version is by far the best. The worst part about our (EU) version is that all the languages it covers. It has the manual in 12 (TWELVE!) different languages. Even some I didn't know existed like.....French. (WTF is French?) The manual is thick as heck. Also, because they are covering every language ever, it ruins the back of the case. All of the
Important:...
Warning...
Health and Safety.... etc is written in every language with a very small section about the game.
Also the front cover has a German rating on it which is a MASSIVE green mark which ruins the cover (along with Pegi so they cover all region rating classifications).
(Also, those Wii safety manuals in every language are thick too)
The last difference is that the American version has a shiny box but ours isn't.

It's well worth it for the story. What it lacks in areas like gameplay and exploration, it makes in music and story. (If you can stomach the Motion Plus gimmick).

Call it a gimmick, but it actually worked well. The only issue I had was having to reset it all the time (which wasn't hard, since it was just down on the D-pad that resets it).

The only issue I had with the game was I wished the dungeons were bigger. That's it.

I freaking loved the game. And it's #3 on my favorite zelda games.

I remember resetting the sword a lot but not because the remote didn't calibrate well, more because I would feel uncomfortable if it was even the slightest bit off.

When I get my house I planned on getting a separate copy and playing that one. I just don't have the room for all that Wii-ness in my parents guest room, where I am currently residing.
