RE: Minecraft Tekkit
I used to play on a Tekkit server. After we had a whole fancy operation set up and everything going smoothly, I quickly grew bored, there wasn't much else to do.

Basically, it's like playing your normal version of minecraft, but with a hell lot of mods and such. The thing is, you don't NEED to do download the mods. You just have to download the Tekkit thing (it's very easy, trust me), and boom, you can play!

Tekkit is a combination of a lot of building mods. When you download the thing, you can also choose other patches, so instead of using "Tekkit" and build stuff, you can use "Hack Slash Mine" and have RPG mods instead. It sounds complicated, I know, but it's actually easy when you see what it is.

RE: Minecraft Tekkit
I have also never heard of Tekkit. But the game seems interesting. So basically is it like if we would download the Tekkit then we will be able to do any sort of mods and other things ?

Well, not MAKE them, but yeah, there,s a huge quantity of mods you can use (my favorite one being Railcraft, a mod about... rails)

RE: Minecraft Tekkit
I've tested tekkit and yes, once I tried to make a server. But it seems like I encountered fatal tehnical difficulties and I couldn't keep it online because it seemed nobody could connect to the server but me.
Well, can't say this only happened to me on tekkit. I had the same problem on normal servers. But... oh well. I'm not that interested in Minecraft anymore, so I don't really mind.

You can make mods, but it requires extremely high amounts of skill and patience in order to do top-quality mods. Also, the reward is not worth the risk, considering tekkit mods make absolutely no profit. Well, you can use them for own purposes, but I'm just saying it's kind of a waste to work on such mods only to be rewarded with the success of doing the mod. You know what I'm saying? Good.

RE: Minecraft Tekkit
Well, I would like to say thanks to Nicknclank and Stan, for enlightening me about trekkit. I came to know a lot about it and came to know that we can do a lot of mods as there are many options and also came to know that its quite tough, but still after some practice work success will come definitely.
