RE: Wii-U
It's more reddit memes than 4chan.

Reddit stole them a long time ago, claiming it as their own.

I've heard of Reddit, not sure what it is exactly, but I've heard it been referred to on TV before.

RE: Wii-U
I will paypal you 20 dollars if you can point something out I "made up".

On Topic: Wii-U Mystery slot found in new WiiU unboxing
"In addition to a slot for the charger and a standard headphone jack at the top, the bottom of the tablet GamePad has a mysterious connector at the bottom. The user’s manual says this connector is for “controller accessories,” but none have yet been announced. The connector is a thinner than the Wii Remote connector that was used for things like the Nunchuk and Classic Controller. Karaoke launch game We Sing doesn’t use it either and the microphone plugs into the USB slots on the base system. Curious…"

edit: To lazy to go back and check but am I literally the only person on the forum who pre-ordered and fully plans to keep the pre-order and get my Wii-U at launch? damn.. Sad

Seems that way. I think they have a great system and a great lineup, it's just not enough for me to make the jump yet. I'm sure I will next year, but for now everything they're offering I can get on my Xbox without shelling out more cash.

RE: Wii-U
I hardly made that up. The worth of video chatting at any time, touch messaging and drawing, Spoiler free situiation based comments, highest rated console browser (that can be used in game i might add, stuck and need a video walkthrough? no problem), screenshots and no cost, etc... trumps party chat in unsupported games and 360 apps in most peoples eyes.

Thats fair and is how most people are looking at it. For me buying it for 1st party games is enough alone. It justified the wii purchase for me. And for those who have lots of free cash to spend "I" think it's a better online system for multiplatform games with all of the neat social features.

Reggie will be on Jimmy Fallon friday. Safe to say it will be to demo the WiiU

RE: Wii-U
This is the least hype any console has ever received. since the 3ds is already doing bad in North America nintendo is most likely not going to "dominate". Sad

Again, you've made it up that Nintendo has the best online. I'll be waiting for my twenty bucks. Unless that is, you're not a man of your word.

It's hard to say who has the best online though I prefer Microsoft, I don't support their service as it's pretty meh. However, if Nintendo decided to pretty much copy Microsofts service for free, then I'm all for saying they're the best. But again, since we don't know much about Nintendo's online service, it's hard to say what will be in at launch.

Also, to comment about Post: #135 in which you talked about Apps.
They're aren't free because you have to pay for Xbox LIVE gold to use them.

Sweet. Totally using it to pay for Xbox Live.

Well see there's then monkey wrench in the works. A big part of your Xbox Live Gold membership covers the overhead for game patches, updates, DLC and good technical support. If the service is free, with no one covering the cost of overheads, it won't be the best. Nintendo isn't going to eat the cost of keeping the service up to the standards of Xbox Live. Hell, Sony won't even do it, so why would Nintendo?

RE: Wii-U
Patches/Updates should be free, Only microsoft charges there developers for patch updates.
No, paying for DLC pays for DLC

Steam has all of this for free, PSN almost matches it. (Mediocre tech support)

Whoa, whoa, WHOA!
Does Microsoft really charge for patches? I don't play xbox, so if someone could clarify, I would really appreciate it.
