Was ripped right from that game. Also, from what I've seen, the combat looks very similar too.

I actually think that's from Ape Escape. Pretty sure that's where you have the last boss battle. But I could be wrong.

To tell the truth, I didn't like Big Daddy being rumored to be in the game, as I felt that took away from the PS part, but after the announcement and seeing him in action, I'm actually happy he's in

I find it weird that Big Daddy would be in Playstation All-Stars. The games has always been seen as a X360 mainly and the port on PS3 was executed terribly. It had the worse graphics than X360, despite being the more powerful console. I haven't played the game, but when it came out I recall a lot of people saying the game looked like garbage. Why would Sony give him a spot in All-Star after that treatment?

I guess if a character on is their console, whether they are first or third party, can still be a possible fighter. Much like SSBB with Sonic and Snake. Same how:
Heihachi, Raiden, Dante or the Bioshock Infinite Stage aren't Sony exclusives but can also be in Sony Battle. Wouldn't suprise me if we see Lightning from Final Fantasy (or any FF character) and Lara Croft.
I doubt the Sony Battle team judge whether the game being good or bad is a factor if the character will make an appearance. Would be awesome if they allowed you imported your Mass Effect character into the game (a re-skin of default Shepard) or your Playsation Home avatar.

It IS weird, but I guess it could be to reel in some fans, stack the roster, or give it some diversity. Maybe Superbot are just fans of Bioshock maybe?

Well this is what annoys me, Playstation All Stars HAS a releases date while the new DmC does not so the only reason I see them adding the new Dante over the old is to help promote his game which is total BS.
I am not hating on the new DmC in any way shape or form but there really does not seem to be any other reason that I can think of unless Capcom really wants us to forget about the old Dante.

His ultimate does look a bit OP cause as you saw enemies that respawn were camped and OHKO'd.

Also he's not there to promote their game. I don't understand where that is coming from. Why is that RebootDMC Dante gets this "He's only in there to promote their game (which is also on PS3) but Young Heihachi never had the "He's only in there to promote Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for September". Young Heihachi(also with black hair) is making his first appearance in TTT2 and never had that issue to deal with but putting a Young/Alternate Dante in means they're there for self promotion.

Anyway, I don't know why it has taken me so long to post in this thread, because I am hella excited for this game.

Anyway, these are my thoughts or whatever...

So new Dante is cool with me, I have no problem with him, and I'm sick of people taking shits on him for no reason except that they're whiny fanboys.

Also, I don't see why the success of or the graphical capabilities has to do with the addition of third-party characters (Big Daddy). None of that makes any sense as a reason not to add him, so his addition isn't surprising at all.

I also agree that there should be more characters (currently 20 confirmed)

One character that would just make the game for me is Isaac Clark from the Dead Space series.

I also think it would be cool to see John Marston from Red Dead Redemption in this game.
(I never played RDR, but he just seems like a good addition).

Connor Kenway or Aveline de Grandpré from Assassins Creed III/Liberation are also obvious choices for third-party characters. (It would be really nice to see Aveline, as there are very few female characters right now.)

It could be really interesting to see Chell form Portal/2 as well, but probably wouldn't happen because she would probably have a limited move-set.

Thinking into the future, it might be cool to see these characters as well:
Nilin from Remember Me
Wei Shen from Sleeping Dogs
Aiden Pierce from Watch Dogs
Joel from The Last of Us
