Halo invented FPS.

Also, it's more of an opinion that they codified it, I've already said that they changed the control layout in this game just to attract the cod crowd, it's something Microsoft would do.

Halo didn't really need to adapt, because bungie didn't really see a need of adding anything like kill cams or load outs, as they didn't want to make Halo "Cod in Space".

However, I like the load outs, but I still think that they should've kept the weapons on the map, I've been pinned down about 3 times by mantis, because I couldn't get close to them due to having no weapons in the base to use apart from my BR, and that's it.

Also, Kill Cams aren't really a thing needed for Halo when you think about it, since a Kill Cam gives the person who has played a way of seeing how they were killed, but in Halo, you already know how you were killed, if it was by a headshot 500m away, a sniper. A head on BR fight, a BR. Even if you didn't know, theatre mode is always there if you're curious.
