Think of it like this
"How dare you critique Mario, go back to CoD".

I wouldn't say Nintendo milked the franchise because, WE NEED THESE GAMES. The Mario games are there to remind us that games are fun! And not about spending two years on a game to show different shades of grey splattered with blood. Mario and CoD are both guilty of adding NOTHING new to the series apart from little bits each game.

The difference is it's cool to bash CoD but not Mario because it's sacred. I wouldn't say Blizzard milk their series though. They just seem to keep supporting WoW with content we don't really need. Also, remember who owns Blizzard. Activision....explains a lot.
