Voice chat will not be standard across all games or even the system itself. Even though the WiiPad has a built-in microphone, it can't be used for voice chat.

So far the only games listed to support in-game voice chat are Assassin's Creed 3, Mass Effect 3 and Black Ops 2. Nintendo has yet to announce voice chat support for any further games, never mind detailed plans of the Wii U's online suite.

You may not point it out, as it shows you've got selective reading. Not having standard voice chat (see above) is one of the reason's I don't see the Wii U having better online then the 360. I also said this:

I've played the Wii online and the DS online, and neither of them were terribly impressive. Nintendo, again, is unproven in this area. For you to sit back and say, "the WiiU will have the best online!" is hilarious, because there's no proof Nintendo knows what it's doing.

If you really think not speaking with other players who you're playing with in an online game isn't important, you either don't play multiplayer games online or are just blatantly ignoring Nintendo's stubbornness to get with the times and finally bring voice chat in. Play "Black Ops 2" online and let me know how fucking easy it is to write a message on the GamePad while everything's exploding around you, and all you wanted to do was tell your friend where the guy who just killed you is hiding.

No, I'm not spending ten bucks a month to talk with my friends. This is a clearly a sign of ignorance, as you no nothing about what you get from paying for Xbox Live.

- There's always constant sales on various games on demand and arcade games.
- Free apps like Crackle and IE.
- Companies bring DLC first and in some cases, only to Xbox Live.
- Companies will patch their games, thanks to the Xbox Live Gold membership covering the overhead cost of fixing games. For example, Capcom patched up a DLC costume issue with Street Fighter 4 on the 360 but not on the PS3 due to the cost being high and no one was willing to pay for it.
- Better security.....
- Exclusive games, be it Games on Demand or Arcade titles.
- Little to no lag.

See there's plenty of reasons the handful of change I pay per day isn't just for chatting it up with my friends, in fact it does a lot more. From bringing me sales on games to support the games I play and my account security (coughpsnhackcough), there's plenty of reasons to pay for the service.

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter if I pay for Xbox Live or not, we're talking about Nintendo here, and unless they can match the online play, apps, security, and specials that Xbox Live and PSN have, they certainly won't have the best online out of the bunch.

- That source is outdated. I just said there is a new karaoke game using the gamepads mic. Im not the only one with "selective reading" I guess. Also there is USB mics already being made, stand alone from the gamepad. ALSO there is no Online game announced that doesn't support it yet.

- So your second reason is your personal lack of faith...wouldn't call that a valid point. Considering third party developers without full access have been praising it, especially indie developers.

- Talk about "selective hearing" again, I just said every game that needs it, uses it. Just like ps3 there is no gamechat by the system in games that don't include it. And I honestly can't think of an online game that doesn't have voice chat built in right now. I'm willing to bet I own more online games then you. I have hundreds on PC alone. Voice chat is important, and im willing to bet any 4 player or more online game for Wii U will support it, just like the ps3 did. They just left it up to the game developers instead of making there own system... which though was a great idea, turn out it wasn't needed. So give it a rest now.

- Aside from Crackle and IE, that is all offered for free on steam. You are being scammed as are all Xbox gold members. I HAVE used it, I payed for it for a year when Perfect Dark HD was released. Paying for discounts offered to microsoft by game companies in the first place and patches which microsoft shouldn't be charging for in the first place is a complete cash grab. Don't get me wrong I love my xbox, but they love taking money too much. ($99 for me to pick up my own wireless signal!?!?! I almost shit my pants!)

Nintendo is awful at advertising... to note again for those who dont know why I am raging THERE IS NO LONGER A FRIEND CODE SYSTEM, AND YOU NOW ADD FRIENDS THORUGH GAMES AND MIIVERSE MUCH LIKE YOU DO ON PS3, STEAM AND 360
