RE: Hidden Compatibility in Sega CD Games
The Vigilante 8 games (Vigilante 8, V8 - Second Offense) both used CD audio tracks for their games as well, as well as many other early CD-based games. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (I know this for the PS1 version of the game, can't confirm for the Saturn version) did the same thing, and even had a bonus music track (with an intro by the voice actor for Alucard giving you instructions on not to listen to the data on track 1) on the game disc for people that ended up popping SOTN in their CD players.
