Hidden Compatibility in Sega CD Games

Did you know that inserting a Sega CD game disc into a regular CD player, such as a compact stereo system, or game console that supports the Red Book audio standard, will enable one to hear the game's music, select voice clips and sound effects? Notable Sega CD games that allow this sort of audio playback are Sonic the Hegdehog CD and Silpheed, which are demonstrated in the following video:
