My example is very obvious. Skyrim. It's flawed not just because of the glitchiness, but the combat isn't that great, and even though you do many epic quests it doesn't really change the world very much. Even during bits where you're meant to be storming cities with an army, the army seems to consist of about 30 people. Dragons end up as just irritating after a while.
It's still, for me, a ten out of ten.
>Skyrim
>10/10 game
Come on know, we're not 13 here.
What? Huh?
I think he's getting at how awful skyrim is. It was a totally dumbed down piece of garbage. It still followed the same "runforwardslashbackpedalrepeat" system Oblivion had. The lack of stats was basically for those idiots that wanted a new first person view game with some RPG elements. So the simple minded CoD fans can go "OH HAY ITS JUST LIKE COD! I don't have to use any knowledge of stats what so ever!" It was hardly entertaining and the side quests... OH GOD THEY WERE SO BAD!! The guilds were HORRID! The stories were to short and had little to expand on. They were just basically fanfare.
I personally would give that game a 5/10
...Sorry... I rip that game apart every time I hear someone say it's a good game. I was utterly dissapointed with it. I was really stoked for it, I even gave it the benefit of the doubt when I heard it was dropping the the complexity of Oblivion. I just fucking hate that game.
Now how about I stop being a prick and contribute to the thread in the way I should?
games I would give a 10/10... the Ratchet and Clank series. Excluding Deadlocked, size matters and secret agent clank. Demons Souls (I've brought this game up so much on the forum...),MAG, Valkyria Chronicles, 3D dot game heroes, Devil May Cry 3, Metal Gear Solid 3, Brutal Legend and White Knight Chronicles 1 and 2.
You hate Skyrim but give it 5/10? Wouldn't out-and-out hatred rate a much lower score? Personally I thought it was incredible, and don't really see why it's juvenile, but horses for courses I guess.
Another one for my personal list - Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
I'm not that harsh. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean I'm going to say "0/10 don't buy utter piece of crap"
The new ways to use magic were nice instead of the constant fire/ice/electric fire ball/explosion. But there were so many things missing that made Oblivion such a fantastic game. One thing, though I won't use this as a reason to dislike a game, is the lack of weird glitches in skyrim. I loved finding those weird model glitches like putting a corpse in a door frame and closing the door. The enchanting system was interesting, but it was missing so much! We just got some basic stuff were as Oblivion, morrowind, etc had this crazy in depth enchanting system that could make you like, super fast or just super high if done right.
I found it to be a total disappointment, but I have to give credit were credit is due. Though I can only think of a few things I liked about it. Which is why it gets a 5/10 from me.
Also Geometry Wars galaxies was such a fun time waster. I regret trading it into EB games since I have a PS3. So no original xbox 360 copy for me!
