Nina on the other end said "WTF just happened". A thought which was chorused by all those who had seen Alex's last ten seconds of action. For he was not alone.
Unbeknownst to him, shadowed figures had observed his every drunken, halucinogenic move. Speaking a dialect far from anything that had been heard when Alex was first alive, they moved away from the smoked glass and were not seen again that day.

"This is insane," thought Alex, as he shook himself out of yet another wasp & space-related hallucination. "If it isn't the alcohol making my mind go nuts... then what is?"
He turned around, finally lucid enough to discern his surroundings. He was in the middle of a huge sphere. When he walked, the sphere would spin, giving him the impression he was walking as he normally would.
Looking up, he saw a fogged window. Just as he gazed upwards, he thought he saw a slight movement of a shadow come from behind the veil of glass.
Confusion coursed through him... This could only be yet another layer of hallucination.

Somewhere, 25 miles above him, a lever was pulled setting in motion a series of mechanics. A door opened under Alex's feet and he started to fall...
