Would you honestly have them work in another genre? Considering the fact that they pretty much reinvented FPS on the console again, and pretty much created Xbox Live.
FPS's is what they're good at. It's what they're great at.
Because it's another unoriginal idea. If have that many talented people on your team and all you do is make FPSs, then yo're limiting what you can do. You make 6 or so Halo games, only to go back to making Halo on the PS3.
