Oh lol. I actually just watched Retribution. It was okay, though Anderson still doesn't seem to know how to tie in his movies with each other. So much left unexplained that it hurts my brain. Afterlife though... I'd rather have my arms cut off than watch it again.

The story is simple enough

1st film - Oh lawd, let's get out of this facility
Transition - exit base, enter city
2nd film - Oh lawd, let's get out of this city
Transition - Helicopter crash... magic appearance in base and desert and... stuff.
3rd film - Oh lawd, let's drive around the desert looking for stuff
Transition - Imma get you, bitch. Goes off to get him, bitch.
4th film - Oh lawd, this place is crap let's fly onto this building. Now we have to get out
Transition - Superbly legit transition from boat to underground base for some... reason.
5th film - Oh lawd, let's get out of this base
Transition - Convenient big-ass battle going on that hasn't ever been mentioned yet.
