WTF? Moments

So... Star Ocean: Till The End of time.... Where do I even begin...

Well I suppose the only moment that made me say WTF out loud (While also getting in trouble for saying it out loud in front of my parents) was probably the twist in the second second disc. I can't really explain it myself, but here goes.

Basically the main character's father, goes on an expedition onto another planet (Because it's the future with space ships and other races and planets and blah blah) and they fine this gate. And surpiiiise! THE GATE TALKS! I raised a brow at it, but I'm like "meh whatever he sounds cool." The gate talks about how humans have evolved far for their own good and that they should be destroyed, in fear of uprising against "The Creator." The only message that the gate leaves for them is to "Resign thyselves." So what did the main character's father do??

APPARENTLY THEY THOUGHT IT'D BE POTASSIUM (K) TO TURN THEIR CHILDREN INTO BIOLOGICAL MAGICAL WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION...

YEA...

The main character Faiyt, is Destruction, while a girl named Maria is Alteration, and then Sophia is something I don't remember, woman was STILL useless anyways except for being able to unlock said gate.

Apparently when the humans were going to be destroyed, they were visited by strange winged beasts called Executioners (Proclaimers(Resembling angelic women) go to planets to warn them of their upcoming demise, then Enforcers (Resembling angelic dragons) come in and slap shit, and the Convictors (resembling weird ass fallen angels) act like children and STILL slap shit) and these Executioners start blowing up ships and planets. So the character and his friends go to this gate (The source of the beasts) and go through it to stop The Creator from killing off their dimension...

So what do they find? I'LL TELL YOU WHAT THEY FIND!

A FUCKING SUPER FUTURE CITY AND YOU KNOW /WHAT/ THEY FIND OUT?! DO YOU /REALLY/ WANT TO KNOW?!

THEIR LIFE IS A VIDEO GAME

YES. YOU'RE PLAYING A GAME WITHIN A GAME.

Hell at least .Hack did it right. They had it so the video game was affecting the real word... In this it's like "YO DAWG WE HEARD YOU LIKE GAEMS." It was fine JUST the way it was. They could have had some God of some sort, but it turned out to be all just a game. Then the ending was SO confusing, that I can't even explain it, because I LITERALLY had no idea WHAT was happening.
