Halo perfected it.

Call of Duty is just a plague. Sure, it's fun to play in little bursts and with friends. But the only good thing about that series is the online. And since its so freaking popular, everyone tries to be exactly like it (and those games usually fail). Call of Duty didn't invent load outs, kill cams or even unlocking stuff as you rank up. People put the blame on them because it's the easiest thing to do. Because that franchise is so freaking popular.
