3. In Street Fighter: M. Bison, Balrog, and Vega's names are all switched. Balrog is known as M. Bison in Japan, M. Bison is known as Vega, and Vega is known as Balrog. This was because of Balrog's likeness to boxer Mike Tyson even down to his name which would be infringement. To avoid legal issues, they switched his name to Balrog. They chose Balrog because they felt the name, Vega, suited an androgynous bull fighter not a big muscle bound boxer. So the Japanese character Balrog became Vega. Vega's name switched to M. Bison because it could possibly stand for "Master Bison" and be more menacing.
