TAS don't usually count(Turbo controllers included). They just display what's possible if everything is perfect with no hiccups but aren't registered as true speedruns. Still enjoyable to watch.

Turbo Controllers can be legit, imo. Especially for NES games.

Speedrunslive don't consider turbo controllers legit. It's tool assisted then. Cheating, same thing. It comes down to you having to learn how to tap fast.

I don't think that manipulating luck, making the game go in slow-motion and so on is the same as having a controller that helps you click faster.
