During development Sonic was to have a girlfriend named Madonna but was scrapped for obvious reasons


Marble Zone was originally going to have UFO's in the sky, and if you wanna go way back, strange rotating platforms



This was an original DREAMS COME TRUE poster(They made Sonic the Hedgehogs music) that unveiled Sonic the Hedgehog to the world.


This was an early Concept art featuring Eggman in a Bumble-bee like constume, Madonna, and various unused enemies.


Probably the first iteration for Green Hill Zone


Apparently by then some of the enemies were in sprite form, this was one of the recently discovered screenshots.
