Burnout: Paradise : The Ultimate Box
I've been trying to play this game ever since I installed 7 for the first time, and it crashes every single time. I'll get a loading screen for 10-15 seconds, then it crashes.

Specs:
Machine name: DINING-ROOM
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120330-1504)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
System Model: Inspiron 530
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 2046MB RAM
Page File: 1920MB used, 2171MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 32bit Unicode
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 8600 GT

This problem is common in almost any 7 system. Any tips?

Moved to "Help me" section.

Try:
Disabling all the soundtracks in the config menu.

RE: Burnout: Paradise : The Ultimate Box
Well your specs seem fine, but I've heard that that game has issues with Windows 7.

Special patches exist for Windows 7. They should be easy to find on the official website. If the problem still isn't solved, there may be some user-made patches (that's how I got a few games working).

You could always try to play the game as administrator or in compatibility mode. It seldom works but it's worth a shot

Do you get a specific error message or just a normal crash with "Burnount_blablabla.exe has stopped working" ?

RE: Burnout: Paradise : The Ultimate Box
It was "Burnout blablabla has stopped working." I fixed it though. The game is apparently incompatible with multicore processors.

Well that's silly in our day and age.
I blame the media and violence in video games
