Absolutely not true.

Of course it is. Communism uses the socialist form of economy.

And that is what I was getting at, Big Grin although try not to start any arguments as Beardy will delete this thread if that happens.

Communism uses the socialist form of economy and extends it into politics, generally as a totalitarian regime. Whilst it may be built on some of the same ideals, it's markedly different.

And feel free to argue your points sensibly. I just didn't want it to get nasty is all, which is what I meant originally (though didn't really state it properly). I'm fine with people disagreeing, just so long as we play nice. I'm not about to delete this thread for any reason, I'll leave that up to the mods.

Ah, but you forgot to calculate in Tacos, which can become both heated, and spicy.

Socialism refers to an economic system,
Communism refers to a political system.

A part of a political system is an economic system. Communism uses the socialist economic system in there political system.

Socialist "ideals" vary depending on the economic system.

Exactly my point. There's a very clear distinction there. You could equally argue that fascism is similar to conservatism.

I don't care which side I support, as long as they're doing stuff right it's fine to me.

Also, considering that here in Brazil 95% of the politicians are corrupts I also need to say: Fuck 'em.

Live in the UK.

Supporting Labour because they are the only people not fucking up this country a lot.

Also

>Being Middle or lower class
>Voting Conservative

I swear, someone needs to make a website that is a questionnaire, and you answer different questions, on your background, income, home, education etc. and it tells you who to vote for.

Right now it's a popularity contest.

Pfft don't blame me, I voted Nick Griffin.

I have a soft spot for insanely corrupt politicians. Yeah, they destroy everything and make life 100% worse...but hey, they're entertaining. It's impossible to not secretly love Berlusconi, for example.

As arsey as I am when arguing politics, I would DEFINITELY be hugely corrupt. Guys, don't ever vote me to power.

Yeah, tripartite system be buggered. The Lib Dems are (were) more left wing that Labour and they've thrown their lot in with the Tories. Politics in the UK is not so much a popularity contest as it is just flat-out business.

RE: Politics - Beware of Cuccos - 07-23-2012 11:14 AM

If I can find a guy/girl running for president that lets me keep MY money that I EARN, **AND** lets gays get married and doesn't try and control my vagina, I would vote for them until I die, petitioning for them to be able to run for president until I die.

RE: Politics - Beardy - 07-23-2012 11:22 AM

There goes my vaginal control party, damn.

RE: Politics - Skarro - 07-25-2012 12:58 AM

If I had Dr.Manhattan like or equal powers I think I would force the world to unite under one government, and I would oversee it's decisions.

Is that awful?
