RE: The Free Thread
Truth be told, I don't really have a problem with critics (minus the ones I mentioned) as I sometimes see that they're able say something interesting or something in a new light for me. As long as they're open minded I'm pretty good as maybe they can offer an explanation for something I did not understand or maybe something I misinterpreted and see it from their angle. It interests me for whatever reason and I tend to read the content of what's being said, even if it's something I liked and they didn't.

Oh, and I'd just like to say that I am not a fan number/star scores.

I have had this username for several years and it would be odd for me to change it now (though many people have pointed it out as well). xD

I never pay attention to critiques, no matter the medium. I feel that it's too hard to come by an actual adult opinion (positive or negative). One that just tells you how it is. People seem to be too opinionated for the most part. I especially do not like "official" critics. They seem to give 'thumbs down' to everything I love. So, for the most part, I make my own decisions on what is good/bad/fun/boring/etc.

And I totally agree with you- I can't look at any of those the same. I don't understand people that can.

RE: The Free Thread
Does anyone have the techno-know-how (technohow?) to help me out ?

My digital camera takes pictures, pictures that are, on average, 4-5 megabytes. When I open the picture in Paint and save it without alteration, the size goes down to about 25% of its original file size (5MB > 1.25MB) without losing any quality.

1 - Why does it not lose quality, yet is much smaller in megabytes ?
2 - Is there a way to do this for a batch of photos ? I don't really want to spend time opening up 5,000 photos individually in paint.

1. I can't say for sure, but it might be the compression algorithm that's saving space. I'm pretty sure cameras don't compress its photos when taken which results in very large files. (As I said, I'm not 100% sure.)

2. I believe Irfanview can do batch processing.

Lightmatt- I thought it said "Hangover Queen" under your name, and I thought your picture was a gorilla jacking off. It's too early for this..

Go back to bed Grandma, and stop taking so many pills...or not enough!

Also try:
Find folder containing images > open > select the images you want to resize > hold CTRL > right click > Send to > Email recipient > select "make my pictures smaller" > choose new size > OK > Click file > Save attachments > then save to a new folder and close the e-mail software down to delete the message.

Oh right, I never did explain.

My parents were born in Mexico while I was born where I currently live, Houston Texas. So I'm only half Mexican, like my username.

So basically about 80% of this forum is comprised of people from either Texas or Wisconsin

As Ironicus once said, "He's beautiful like an anime".

Give me your favorite type of drink and I'll throw that type of bottle at you. It will have the original content in it, so it will be extra heavy.

and with that last conversation, fixed my rank name for now.
