Happy Mardi Gras!
I just wanted to wish you all a happy Mardi Gras today! I am unable to be in New Orleans this year to celebrate, so I got a bunch of Cajun food and a king cake (brought in from Gambino's in New Orleans) from an amazing local Cajun restaurant. Are any of you doing anything special tonight?
Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Hapy Mardi Gras to you all.
In my country, we make pancakes on this day (I think it's also Pancake Day in the U.K.) and party

EDIT - Also, Beware of Cuccos, that was some superb French Big Grin

RE: Happy Mardi Gras!
Currently in Mobile, Alabama which is like the 'B' place for Mardi Gras. I don't personally care for this kind thing, but my roommates are having a blast downtown and they usually bring me back some junk they don't want.

Happy Mardi Gras anyway.

Expect many topless women, fake beads, cake with babies, and someone dying. It gets pretty crazy.

Thanks! It's the only French I know haha. I'm part French-Cajun, but I got more of the Cajun Big Grin

Here is a good site describing the history of Mardi Gras and what it's all about. The boobs are NOT a part of the celebration, nor are they tradition. They are simply the doings of needy women desperate for attention.

RE: Happy Mardi Gras!
I guess I'm gonna be that guy. Screw Mardi Gras. I think it's the worst time of the year. All the damn tourists, the drunks, the streakers, the idiots, it's all so damn annoying. Not to mention the traffic. The only good thing about it, the only good thing, is being able to sit high above everyone else and occasionally toss random shit on their heads, making them think they 'got' something from the passing floats.

I never went to Mardi Gras, never really wanted to either. If I wanna get drunk I will do that at home. If I wanna see boobs then I will stay on my internet.

RE: Happy Mardi Gras!
The only reason I would wanna be French is for the healthcare you guys have and all the medicine...Assuming that your government is trying to stop doctors from prescribing so much Tongue
