Has anyone here played Day Z and is currently playing?

I finally got it all downloaded and working today. After 10min I met a dude with a hatcher that killed me without a single doubt in his mind.. So now I'm kind of looking into finding friends to play with and get my mic working.

I played for a while but then when I kept on getting killed by other players...

I may be tempted to return if we can form a bad-ass team

I was watching this video on how to get Day Z working



But around the 2:30 mark it will not work for me so I am unsure what to do about that. Kind of ticking me off cause it will show the small black screen of text and then that is it. I have tried restarting my computer AND Steam to see if it will work afterwards but it will not.

I don't know how to fix a lot of problems. My problem was solved my restarting Steam and changing some setting in a config file.

Done. Good luck with that problem! Try out their official forum. They have a whole forum part just for troubleshooting.

Yeah but unfortunately I'm not available for gaming at the moment.

Yeah, my brother has a great gayman PC, and he's thinking of getting it soon enough. I wouldn't mind bro-oping in that game once I get it.

I've been wanting to play this game, but I am a little afraid of playing alone. If we get a crew together or whatever I would totally be down to join.

I would love to get a DYKG crew together. Xannidel just got his to work, as far as I know.

I would like to play it^^ it looks like an awesome game, im most likely going to buy ARMA 2 later... I wish that there would be some kind of "party" thing that made it so you and a few friends would spawn at the same place, it would be cool... ^^

Yeah I got it to work but I am really bad at it and spent like 5 mins running around with a hoard of zombies that were attracted to my magnet of "I am a newb so please come to me!"
Oh well I am sure I will find out how to play eventually.
