Just played through Journey again. Ahhhh so good. Need to take long breaks (last time I played it was in March) to keep it fresh. Was playing throughout the entire game with this one person who had complete white body and scarf. Helped me get some trophies along the way too ha.
Shoutouts to Okami and Children of Eden is on PS3? Didn't know that. Thought it was Kinect only. Would love to play it on a huge TV screen like they advertise on the cover.
Yeah I dunno but Child of Eden did come out on Kinect first but it is also for the Move.
Final Fantasy XIII
Super Mario Sunshine

Only ones that come to mind actually (sure there are others).
Final Fantasy 8. I'm a sucker for a love story. Plus, the music makes me all happy and....stuff.

You sir just made my day

Honestly, I am a HUGE Final Fantasy 8 fan and while I did enjoy the dungeons and scenery I just do not really classify it as a beautiful game compared to a game like Dear Esther or The Dig or even Journey.

Also playing Guild Wars 2 and finding so many vistas that are near waterfalls or streams make me so giddy and happy.
I'm currently playing Snapshot and I must say the artstyle is really amazing. And that robot is just plain cute.

Maybe it's a weird one to raise, but Sam & Max Hit the Road. Hell, all the adventure games of that era. Insane and exquisite artwork.

This, The Dig, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle were all fantastic LucasArts adventure games that had their own unique and awesome art style and UGH I miss those days.
Gears of War 3.

Yet it is an extremley violent, gritty and gory, you have to hand it to them. The art style is beautiful, and
the beauty of the graphics and the slow motion brought a tear to my eye, not only does the game do brilliantly with voices of Baird and Marcus 'RRAAAGGGFFGHHHFFFFFFFF', but the sun flare on the buildings and the erosion on cities and what used to be left makes me almost grateful that I live in a world still intact.
I consider Mother 3 a very beautiful game.
My god, Shadow of the Colossus is just wonderful. The scenery is beautiful, and the story it weaves is great. It's so simplistic, yet so complicated because the player has no idea of what is going on until the very end.
Since I wasn't able to play the 3rd one

Uncharted 2:

Everything about this game I LOVED! The music, the scenery, the characters and game play. The platforming was awesome and I loved it, and when you got to the ice section it was even better (That is until I got spooked by the yeti monsters that was watching me, and didn't even realize till it started moving.)

Metal Gear Solid 3+4:

I have never cried SO hard over a video game in my life then I had with the Metal Gear Solid series. Though more specifically 4. The ending was SO sad, and the game's story was so good and kept hooking me onto it to find out more (Although the cutscenes made me feel like I was watching a movie D: ). Not to mention the final bosses for both games were awesome, and the scenes following them were amazing. I loved the fact that *SPOILER!! Keep scrolling to skip this* Hideo didn't have Boss killed by Snake in the scene, but instead, actually makes YOU pull the trigger that ended her life. That was so well played and so smart on his part.

Shadow of the Colossus:

I REALLY don't have to explain much here. I'm pretty sure everyone would know this game is amazing (mostly because someone already mention it), and I love the story and fights. Hell I even hum the music in class and get weird eyes from the Ghetto kids with that "Da fuck are you humming white boi?" look.

Prince of Persia:

Not the newest ones, but the one that followed IMMEDIATELY after the Sands of Times. You know, the one where the guy has the gauntlet? I don't give no fucks about the hate this game got, the environment is AMAZING, and I love how you aren't on a set track, but you can go to whichever stage you want. Did I mention the music? I'm pretty sure this song had some award or was nominated. Not to mention no matter how much flak it got, the combat system was really cool. How the characters flowed in their combos and such.

I would also like to give a shout out to the Bioshock series, how unlike a lot of first person shooters, this one was so story driven. Not to mention the characters I felt REALLY sorry for, especially the second. I couldn't bring myself to killing the woman in the first stage (forgot her name unfortunately). Not to mention the music in this one was amazing as well. Personally my favorite was Pairbond from the second one and Cohen's Masterpiece from the first one.

Seriously, Pairbond. So good. The violin soloist deserves a damn medal.
I'm honestly not sure whether or not I've said these, but Metal Gear Solid 3, Uncharted 2, and Oblivion.
There's also something about Super Mario Galaxy that really makes the game beautiful, I think both of those games just look amazing.
Call me crazy, but I think that Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door was beautiful in it's own little way. Every level had it's own look and feel, and it really allowed me to take the scenery in. Even at the end of the game, I would look at the places from before, and go "Damn, I been through a lot." Every level was unique. Boggly Forest took it's white and black scenery, and transform it into a work of art with only two bland colors. Blitz Arena had the most original stories I had ever seen, and took the game's normal gameplay and changed it into something fresh and new. And god damn, I was in awe at the level's ending. It was purely blissful. So much detail, so much effort, so much WORK in that game. And I love it beyond belief.
Borderlands + Borderlands 2. These games are so beautifully stylized, and the comedy is so naturally flowing. The different classes are so balanced, and each have their own fantastic traits. The world is so big that you could pick up the game after beating it and you could find things you've never seen before.
