In Zelda: OoT there is a guy on a flying carpet in the Gerudo Desert that looks suspiciously like a character in a Legend of Zelda CD-i game 'Link: The Faces of Evil. He also is on a flying carpet. Weird coincidence?

CD-i Zelda is a very special case though.
