Gold and Silver, Gold and Silver everywhere.

I liked Sapphire, I thought it had an interesting environment, used weather to an extent, had very good music, was a great leap from 8 bit to 32 bit (I believe) added a lot of things that are still in future games (Double team, running shoes, secret bases)

It was great all round really, only thing I disliked was the rival, not the difficulty but the general friendliness of her.
Gold/ Silver for me. And my only reasoning behind it would have to be my favorite generation of Pokemon and possibly the whole time system in the game was awesome at the time.
Didn't we have this thread a few days ago ?

Crystal, i enjoyed the hell out of silver and blue aswell but crystal i played soo much more then any other.
firered. it was just more, everythign than the other games, it had the 7 islands, vs seeker, gen 2 pokemon, etc
I like Soul Silver a lot. It's like 2 games in one. Plus, I can have all the 2nd generation pokemons that I couldn't get before (Mareep for example!).

I also like Emerald. I loved the pokemon contests ^_^
I agree with Metal on this one, Leaf Green and Fire Red were awesome and brought us back to Kanto perfectly. Plus we got a lot of sweet new items (VS seeker was a Godsend), new sidequests, new battles, a ton of new content that felt way more natural than Ruby and Sapphire, plus we could get back to using the original 150 instead of the newer Hoenn ones, no offense to salamance or anything, but I think a lot of us really missed them by that point.
Also, I'm still in love with the fact that we can still transfer our pals from way back in 2002 to the newer games 10 years later, which is awesome.
Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Why? Because Gen 3 was the best gen.

I guess I am just a fan of the original game, it was just so magical to finally play a game that none of us had really played before. The plot was pretty basic; Go collect shit, go fight shit, collect badges n' shit and then beat the main 4 baddass mofos around. The music was pretty awesome for me (still blare the bike music when I am on the highway) and the game was difficult but equally fun because back then 151 Pokemon were really a lot or at least to me.

One word: Dive
Emerald is mine. I really liked the third gen and Emerald wasn't like Ruby or Sapphire in the sense that you didn't side with Team Magma or Aqua. You were just the neutral Pokemon Trainer.
